So when you are traveling in Cuba, there are a couple different ways to get around town. The most common ways are by car, taxi, carpool trucks, and a horse carriage. However, the most unique way is by a Goat Cart. These goat carts are a great way to get to the park, tour the city center or just go for a fun ride around the block.
My mom used to tell me stories about her pet goat and how much fun she would have riding her goat cart around the neighborhood. At first I could not believe that my grandmother would let her have a goat as a pet, but come to find out pet goats were pretty common in Cuba. It was not until I saw the actual goat cart in Holguin, that I could truely envision my mom’s story come to life.
So my mom flagged down the goat cart driver and she hopped in for a ride. As you can see, she loved it!
Who could pass up a ride with a goat wearing a baseball cap, so I jumped in as well!
And my little cousin wanted to join us for a ride around the block. If you look closely, you can see the horse carriage taxi behind us.
